JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants a developing and interesting assignment where we work together to provide citizens with a legally secure service. Working as a Social Welfare Officer in Torsås Municipality is the perfect job for you if you have an interest in both people and law. The job involves, on delegation from the social committee, investigating, assessing, and deciding on interventions and support for individuals according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Special Services for Certain Disabled Persons.

You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role alongside competent colleagues. An important part of the job is the ability to collaborate and cooperate with individuals, relatives, colleagues, other professionals within the municipality, and external actors.

In Torsås Municipality, you can expect to learn all aspects of the role of a Social Welfare Officer and to be involved in influencing changes.

The position is a one-year temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work or another higher education that is deemed equivalent. We prefer that you have previous experience in case management within social services or support for individuals with disabilities.

You are a good communicator with a strong ability to collaborate, build networks, and create contacts. The position requires you to clearly apply laws and regulations based on your specific role, as well as the conditions that apply to all municipal/public operations. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to express yourself clearly and concisely in speech and writing, as well as organize and prioritize your work. Experience with the LifeCare operational system is desirable.

You have a good understanding of working in a politically governed organization.
